Hi Everyone,
Is there a simple way to query or discover the last time a documentum 6.5 content server was restarted?
Is this stored in a property of an object somewhere?
Thanks!
The docbase log is a rolling log. Meaning that when a docbase is restarted, the last log is renamed with the docbase name + date and the current docbase log is just docbase name.
AFAIK the exact restart date is not stored anywhere, just as Johnny said.
But you can get the last start date approximately from the last run date of the dm_FTIndexAgentBoot job. This job is an inactive job, and it's automatically started by content server after it had started to boot up any IndexAgents connected to the Content Server.
So run this:
select a_last_completion from dm_job where object_name='dm_FTIndexAgentBoot'
it turns out this job doesnt run in our environment, but that query you posted has alluded me for other purposes, thanks man!
If you are running Documentum on windows you could use windows event viewer to determine the service start and stop time. Look for the events with ID - 7035 (Stop events) & 7036 (start events)
Its running on a linux environment against oracle, ill have to look into the doc base logs, thanks.
