debug mode not working...

I can't get the debug mode TAG_info options to appear when I start my simple workflow:

It's because you're returing false for iw_debug_mode, you need to return true. I always use a radio button to make it obvious:
iw_debug_mode => "<input type='radio' value='true'>true</input>\n".
"<input type='radio' value='false'>false</input>\n",Although, if you really want to use a checkbox, just change your value='false' to value='true'.

The only TAG_info() directive you've provided in the workflow is for debug mode and (a) its not required and (b) you preset a value for it - so even if it were required it wouldn't show.

Try changing it to something like this:...
iw_debug_mode =>
[
html => "<input type='radio' value='true'>true</input><input type='raido' value='false'>false</input>",
label => "Debug mode",
is_required => "true",
]
...

It did not work for some reason...

I changed it to this:

Did not work! The form that should appear, is not displaying for some reason. Its going to the start task without prompting for input.

Just looked at my debug TAG_info:

TAG_info( iw_output_file => "<input type='text' value='/tmp/foo.xml'>",
iw_debug_mode => "<input type='radio' value='true'>True</input>" .
"<input type='radio' value='false'>False</input>",
);

The false was selected by default.
Try making the iw_output_file required and have no default value.

removing the default value for the iw_output_file seems to have done the trick. How can I use a default value and make it appear?

Darin,

The thing about the instantiator is, if all required fields are already filled out, it skips the form and instantiates the workflow. So you have to have one required field that is not filled out.

You could have a hidden field that is required and on load of the form, give it a value with javascript. That way the form will always show up and defaults will still be selected.
