Consistency_checker.ebs file,and how to save it?

Hi,

I need to adjust the consistency_checker.ebs file and want to save the change?

When trying to save it, it keeps returning the Save failed message, saying this file is opened in another program.

can someone please point out to me which program/process is keeping this file busy.

I don’t think it is supported to change consistency_checker.ebs. Most probably the CS/dm_ConsistencyChecker job is locking the file. If you can stop the repository then you should be able to save it.

We normally use Sysinternal process explorer (OS - Windows) to find the process which is locking the file.

I need to change the consistency_checker.ebs file due to the fact that there is something not working correct in it (query failure)

The dm_consistencyChecker job is not the only thing responsible for keeping this file occupied.

I used Sysinternal process explorer but this not give me the process which is locking the file.

Any pointers for this are appreciated.

1) disable the job in all repositories

2) shut down JMS

3) shut repositories

4) restart repositories

5) start JMS

6) edit and save method content

7) enable jobs

If you dont have choice of restarting the repository, then clone the file and create a new method and job.

Hi all,

the reasons I wasn't able to change the consistency_checker.ebs file was that I logged on to the server with NOT the instalation owner name.

After I did that everything worked fine.
