Is this board accepting new posts?

System

I realize I'll find out shortly as a result of this post but I like the "New Posts" link and often look at that for any new information, etc., but it shows and the stats on the forum at large show that no new messages have been posted since mid-day Thursday. It could be my stale environment, perhaps, but there have been some issues with DevNet these couple of weeks.

If this is actually an issue and it's not just me, is there an ETA?

I didn't wanted to start a New Post, But i was wondering why Images of the users are not shown. I think this is new thing with this imroved devnet. Heather would u like to comment on this.
Thank you

Sorry about that -- I realized that after I wrote that message (obviously, because I saw it). I think I was seeing stale info for some reason but after I made my post, I saw a bunch of 3/17 posts. Even though I realized soon after, I wasn't able to delete my message, like we were all able to do before.

Why IS that, anyway? Why did that functionality seem to go away?

If you click the "Control Panel" tab and click "Edit Avatar" link on the left nav, it will walk you through the process of including an image that would get displayed with your name.

I did the "Edit Avatar" . The standards for that are pretty low. Only 5kb of space for a Image thats too small earlier it was like more than 10kb. Now they have reduced to less than 5kb.
I wish i had little more space.
Thanks

I just looked at my control panel and it reads, "Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 14.6 KB (whichever is smaller)." That seems pretty reasonable. I'm also wondering if they permit swf files as avatars. That'd be cool.

Yes it is 14.6, I have a smaller gif file which i was trying to get up there. But it always always gives me an error. I donno why.
Thanks
