API/DQL/any other command to execute dm_procedure

If I want to execute a dm_procedure object, I am using Documentum desktop client

A custom menu is already included in Desktop client to execute that

I would like to know, if there is any API/DQL or command to execute a dm_procedure - other than using Desktop client?

Documentum 5.3 SP3

the dm_procedure is implemented to read 2 arguments from user at run time, and does some business logic

Desktop Client is customized to have a new menu option, after selecting which the procdure will be executed

doubt it... dm_procedures were for EDMS98 client, workspace and that is obsolete for many years

Not sure if this will help you in debugging your dm_procedure, but you can execute procedure as part of the lifecycle action. For example, back in the old days, we used to write dm_procedure scripts to change the location of a document when you promoted it to the next lifecycle state.

If your dm_procedure is written in Docbasic, Documentum Application Builder (DAB) has Docbasic compiler to help validate your dm_procedure syntax is correct.

Thanks for the information, but I was actually looking for other thing

Below is the requirement why i need alternate way to invoke dm_procedure

folderpath1 and folderpath2 in docbase have same peice of code (dm_procedure) in docbasic syntax

One file menu in Documentum Desktop Client is already configured to invoke the code from one of these two locations (I tried to refer to the manuals and did some paly around the menu config, but could not find the location from which it is accessing)

After changing the code in folderpath1 the results did not work. Did the same for the folderpath2 as well, but the changes are not reflected

Note: But the changes are reflected in the development environment (whith/with out changing the code in folderpath2)

So, I am looking for the alternate way to invoke the procedure and see if the changes are reflecting or not

As I said in my previous post, you can use lifecycle action to invoke the dm_procedure (in lieu of clicking File menu item). If you attach lifecycle to the document and the promote it, you can configure lifecycle to execute your dm_procedure. This is the only alternative way that I know to do what you have asked.
