Edit causes two windows to appear

Well, this post was going to be a question
We have one user where things are really screwy

Pressing edit (templated file) - produced two edit screens
Checking "My Local Files" replaced the main window.
(there may be other things, but we didnt' discover them)

Solution:
She had pressed the "Discuss" icon on the IE toolbar (The yellow sheet of paper).
Closing the "Discussion toolbar" at the bottom of the window solved all those issues.

The only think I can think of is to remove the launchpad preferences to see if it works.

The issue was the "Discussion" tool bar at the bottom of the IE window. My posting was more of "WATCH OUT..." than a "how do I...".
