"Role-based security" can have different meanings for different people. Can you explain yours? What problem are you trying to solve?

You can set up groups and administer security policies according to those groups. But, as DBGuy says, if you provide specific use cases we can help you more.

We need to create some specific roles say (CEO, managers, executives etc) and to assign specific privileges to access the organizational content (documents etc). For example some CEO able to access x,y,z documents, manager only able to access y,z documents and editors only able to access z document. This is what my question role-based security for content?

In this case, I'd go with Lissa's suggestion. Create groups in Library Manager, add the users to the correct groups and use them in security policies to control access to your documents. In this case, MP groups would match the roles you want.
