While Migrating Objects in new Docbase using DFC Code, getting error -[DM_INBOX_E_FAILED_TO_GENERATE

Hi,

We are migrating the Objects with Content File from 5.2 SP2 docbase to 6.6 Docbase. While doing so we have some DFC code by which we are exporting the data from Source 5.2 docbase using DFC 5.2 SP2 and then importing the data in 6.6 docbase using 6.5 SP1 / 6.6 DFC.

While doing so , after importing some objects in new docbase, we are getting error like:-

[DM_INBOX_E_FAILED_TO_GENERATE_RANDOM_BYTES]

What is the reason of this error? We have tried importing data with different versions of DFC- 6.5, 6.6. But Same error all the time.

DFC 6.5 only supports CS 5.3 and newer. You will need to upgrade your CS and repository to 5.3 before you can use DFC 6.5.

But if I need to Import the Object in CS/ Docbase 6.6. Then which version of DFC we should use???

You can use DFC 6.6 to import content and metadata stored in some intermediate location (eg shared file drive and csv file) to import into 6.6 repository. The problem is that you cant export content and metadata from 5.2 repository using DFC 6.6.
