xPlore and Secondary Content Server

Hi,

We have a FAST installation on 6.5 SP2 content server. We would want to deploy xPlore keeping the existing FAST installation to be run in DUAL mode. The xPlore deployment guide talks about deploying a secondary content server. Is it absolutely necessary to deploy a secondary content server in this case? We are in DEV region and dont want to deploy any further content servers at this stage.

The new version of xPlore v1.1 (part of Documentum v6.7) supports both FAST and xPlore running against one content server.
