Hi All,

TeamSite: 6.1
OS: Solaris
OD: 6.0

I have a metadata capture form configured to mysql database and working fine.

I got a request to create a new metadata capture form for different branch. I was able to do the following:

1. I updated the datacapture.cfg with new rules-set and the fields that required for the new metadata capture form.

2. I updated the metadata-rules.cfg file with condt element pointing to right v-path of the new branch and rules set.

Now I can get to see the new metadata form in TeamSite for that particular branch. Checking the od.600.ddadmin guide but still unclear of next steps.

I'm looking for some directions to make the form to populate my new table in mysql.

Sounds more like an issue with TeamSite/FormsPublisher... You might try another forum. DD comes into play after your files have been tagged with the metadata. So it deploys the set metadata to the DB. It has nothing to do with form creation.

Are you asking what to do in terms of setting metadata from the Metadata capture form to your DCRs?
If so, you can run the following commands from your workflow:

/opt/metatagger/bin/iwgenmetadata -save -suggest $DCR_FULL_PATH

This would generate the metadata file for the DCR (.imd file in your DCR directory)

Then set metadata on the DCR by executing the following command:

/opt/iw-home/bin/iwmetadata -set $IMDFILE_FULL_PATH $DCR_FULL_PATH

Actually, I have the metadata form only to capture the extended attributes, I added an item to the existing form, the datacapture.cfg at iw-home/local/config (a multiple selection).

Now, I'm form has extra item which will not match the existing datadeploy table which is populated using DAS whenever a user attached extattr to a file in TeamSite.

Just wondering how to sync up the form with the tables.

It sounds like what you want to do is very straight-forward. Could you post your existing DD config as well as information about the new field which doesn't map?

I'd attached my DD configuration file. Item name "CATEGORY" is the one I want to add to DataDeploy table.

Once I add this to datacature.cfg, I can able to see the item in the meta-data form, but I'm not sure about the steps from here how to proceed make this reflect in datadeploy table.

How is your DD setup? are you using a custom defined configuration?
