Can DFS Object Service load jpg file to content server?

I try to load a jpg file and is failed. When I convert the file format from jpg to gif, the file is loaded successfully. Can DFS object service load jpg file to content server?

2, I have one file is pdf, then I try to check out and check in the file with other file format. Is is possible?

3. Can DFS load flash files?

Please help me with this out. Many thanks.

Hi Hongmei,

1. are you able to checkin any .jpg document thru DA or Webtop? Check for format in dm_format type. Or put here som logs from dfs.

2. Isn't this rendition?

3. Thru dfs and dfc I believe you can import any extension.

I will check it later. As for the question 2. It is not a rendition. The user may first time import a pdf file, then, for the new version, to import a scanned document with image format. That's why the same document different version has different format.

2. yes it is possible. for example try to checkout document and then check it in and in "more options" select "checkin from file" option. you can choose another file extension

Question 2 Still not sure how to check in a file with new format

Here is my code which causes the error when the file type is different.

Within DFS you can allways use DFC.

That is a great news that I can use dfc inside dfs. Where are the namespaces you imported? What dlls should I added to the reference? btw, I am using .net
