Auto naming the generated output file

Iam trying to autoname the output file based on the selected value in the DCR.User should not be allowed to name the output file.Can anyone help me out in resolving this.

If you want to autoname the *generated* output file
One way to do this would be using form api.
get the value from your field and set the output file name using IWPageGeneration.setOutputFile();

If you want to autoname the DCR itself
Again using formapi get the value from your field and set DCR name using
IWDCRInfo.setDCRName();

This information is well documented so please Read The Fantastic Manual ;-)

Please give some details like your TeamSite version, OS Platform etc.

If you are in TS 6.5, then you can use formAPI IWPageGeneration.setOutputFile

If it is older version, then I guess it would have to be handled through Workflow.

Simple way is to get the Item value using form API and then name it accordingly inside your tpl to generate a file with that name.

I have a list box in the DCT and when i save the DCR the DCR should be auto named based on the selected value in the list box.Based on the DCR name the generated file name should be given like("DCRname.htm").I have set the DCR name already.I want to auto name the generated file now. I have tried with "IWPageGeneration.setOutputFile".The target directory is created by using the "IWPageGeneration.setOutputFile".Can anyone help me out.

After using setOutputFile the exact problem you are facing is not clear with your previous message. Please give more detail.

- OnSave
- SetDCRName
- OnSaveDone
- setOutPutFile
