Several Repository schemas?

In Documentum Developer Edition “EMC® Documentum® Enterprise Content Services Version 6.6” I see:

For the current release only the DEFAULT repository schema is supported, which provides metadata

information concerning the data dictionary.

Can someone tell me: is the “only the DEFAULT repository schema is supported” for Documentum Developer Edition only? On all Documentum Content Servers have “only the DEFAULT repository schema is supported” to the moment?

Only for the Developer edition. Basically, when you develop, you don't need multiple docbases. In a real life environment, it is of course a different story....

Meanwhile, I have come (on that my Developer Edition 6.6) to the following result: I cannot retrieve Schema using getSchemaInfo in DFS

If I call “schemaService.GetSchemaInfo(DefaultRepository, null, new OperationOptions()”, I get the following exception:

System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[Emc.Documentum.FS.Runtime.SerializableException]: String index out of range: -1 (Fault Detail is equal to Emc.Documentum.FS.Runtime.SerializableException).

If I call “schemaService.GetSchemaInfo(DefaultRepository, null, null”, I get the following returned object:

Description "Default Schema" string

Label "not implemented" string

Name null string

TypeInfos Count = 0 System.Collections.Generic.List<Emc.Documentum.FS.DataModel.Core.Schema.TypeInfo>

What is it – the Developer Edition 6.6 does not support it; or it is a bug, or what?

2. Well, I could live without the getSchemaInfo. Let me explain my task: I need to get information about type ‘dm_document’ and all its children (either direct or indirect). So I could do this using ‘select * from dm_types’ and then scanning the returned list and finding all the children of ‘dm_document’. Then I will call getTypeInfo for each of them and get TypeInfo for every such type.

BUT: I would like to understand what are ‘non-default Schemas’ on ‘full’ (non-Developed Edition) Documentum servers? Because of my application will eventually run on these ‘full’ servers. It turns out, a Documentum server can have, in addition to default Schema, also several other Schemas? Will these non-default schemas be used in parallel with the default one? If so, how this will look like - I cannot imagine? Where can I read more about this?
