Enterprise Search Engine - opinions
System
We are looking to replacing our home grown search engine on our intranet site. Our site is password protected and each page is dynamically different depending on who is logged in. We user xml and are going to switch over to sql. Java, ATG Dynamo, and Websphere is our platform on a Windows 2000 server. The search software needs to index pdf's, docs, xls, etc and the xml files.
Dieslpoint looks like the best candidate so far (I've downloaded and tried their demo, works great). Has anyone else used Dieselpoint and what's your opinion of it? Or, what have you used that would work with the above environment?

Our shop uses Verity. Verity reads over 200 file formats and has access to a myriad of repositories: file systems, web servers, Lotus Notes, email servers, databases, content/document management systems.
We use it as our corp intranet search engine and for building dynamic site and portal navigation.

Bought dtSearch about 2 months ago and I just started using it finally. Has all the major features you'd want and is fairly cheap.
