ACS vs Content Transfer in DFS

Hi All,

we had developed custom DFS for retrieving the document from Documentum Repository.in this service we are getting 'URL Content' as a response but the expected is DataHandlerContent (as file). it seems that ACS is enabled in our repository.can any one tell that how to disable that? and it will have anyeffect on the webtop in same repository.

disabling the ACS or specifying 'contentProfile.setUrlReturnPolicy(UrlReturnPolicy.ONLY)' in my custom dfs service?

which is the best approach of the above? and what are the consequences of each?

Please set contentProfile.UrlReturnPolicy = NEVER if you don't want to use ACS in your content exportion. It only affects this DFS server instance. Please note that with this option, content will be transferred by two hops. Please read more info about content transfer from DFS development guide.

Disabling ACS server impacts other products accessing the same docbase, so it should not be an option.
