creating a initiate process

Hi everyone,

I am new at Documentum..I am trying to create an initiate process with Forms Builder.

But I have problem with data binding, the Data Model pane / Insert Data Item is grey out. So how can I add new fields to the form and connect them with the types. Can someone tell me the steps that I need to follow ?

Hi!

Welcome to the Community!

The data model for a process initiation template and a task template is based on the data model of an associated business process. So that's why it is read-only in Forms Builder.

To update data model in Forms Builder you must first to update the process variables in Process Builder, save the proces (you needn't validate and install process if you have binded process initation or task templates already). Second, re-open the form in Forms Builder and you will get the updated data model.

Did you have Forms Builder and Process Builder User Guides? All additional steps are desribed there.
