What is FDS, why "FDS host not found'

I am new to Documentum.

I got below error when I search with xPlore.

[DM_FT_INDEX_F_FULLTEXT_ENGINE_INIT_ERROR]fatal:"Query Plugin failed to successfully initialize: FDS host not found"

I want to know what is FDS host?

Where should I check?

I had the same problem. The solution was to ask engineer turn on index server!)
