We are in the process of upgrading our Documentum environment from 6.5 SP1 to 6.7 and want to know what is the recommended approach to migrate from FAST to xPlore.
Requirement: Minimize the searching down-time
We want to run 6.7 and FAST 6.5 SP1 together while we migrate to xPlore and still allowing users to search against FAST. After xPlore has reindexed all the objects, groups, and acls, we would then disable FAST. Dual-mode is not supported in 6.7, from what the release notes say. So is this approach considered dual-mode? Does FAST need to be turned off while xPlore indexes the objects? Can they both run at the same time while FAST returns search results and xPlore migrating the new and existing objects?
Thanks!
