how many users can view a particular file simultaneously ??

I am having two different customized documentum webtop application which is being customized on top of the below two version of webtops.

1. 5.3 sp6
2. 6.5 sp1

Many users are using these two application. Here the default documentum components and functionalities are in use to import/add a document and to view the same. Now say, I have added/imported one document.

Can any one please tell me how many users can view a particular file simultaneously ???

If there is an answer in terms of number of users, then will it different for these two version???

Otherwise tell me the reason behind the issue with simultaneously viewing a particular file by too many users.
