1st deploy failing in od6
nico
So I'm trying to do my first od6.x deployment and it's freakin failing. Am i just messing something?
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?>
<deploymentConfiguration>
<logRules maxBytes="32Mb" level="verbose"/>
<localNode host="SFDIWOVE65"/>
<replicationFarmSet>
<replicationFarm name="MYFARMNAME">
<nodeRef useNode="MyLocalHost"/>
</replicationFarm>
</replicationFarmSet>
<definition name="MYDEFINITIONNAME">
<source>
<sourceFileSystem area="Y:\default\main\www\public\STAGING"
filelist="Y:\default\main\www\public\STAGING\deploy\filelist.txt">
<pathSpecification>
<path name="."/>
</pathSpecification>
</sourceFileSystem>
</source>
<target useReplicationFarm="MYFARMNAME">
<targetFilesystem area="F:\ODTargetTestDir"/>
<comparisonRules dateDifferent="yes"/>
<permissionRules file="0644" directory="0755"/>
</target>
</definition>
<deployment transactional="no">
<execDeploymentTask useDefinition="MYDEFINITIONNAME"/>
</deployment>
</deploymentConfiguration>
Thanks,
A

Here's the problem:
Y:\default\main\www\public\STAGING
It appears you are running windows!! Just kidding....
Did that config file come from OD 5.x?
Does the receiver version match the base?
Anything in the log files?
Can you do a loopback deploy? (something like the test deploy)

It would help a lot if you included some information about *how* it's failing and perhaps include or attach the deployment log file for folks to help diagnose your problem.
One thing I see that might be causing problems is this:
<sourceFile
S
ystem area="Y:\default\main\www\public\STAGING" filelist="Y:\default\main\www\public\STAGING\deploy\filelist.txt">
That's supposed to be a lowercase
s
not
an upper-case
S
If that doesn't fix the problem - you'll need to post the log files...
