to apply dql queried results to the document properties

Hi,

I have a requirement: I have a look-up table in database. Now i have to fetch results based on conditions from the database using dql read activity and then apply the values to the document as document properties and then invoke a new process with those documents. But the document(file) is an attachment.

Tell me how to go about this.  Urgent.

Hi,

If as the dql query result you have repeatable attributes and each of them must update some document attributes, you can use tecnics described in Looping in Process Builder. But unfortunatelly you cann't start a child process with attachments. Instead of using attachments, in the Invoke process activity you must bind r_object_id of documents to some attribute of child process (it can be single or repeatable process variable). In this case, one of the first child process activity must bind this process variable to attachments.

BTW, may be it would be better for you to initiate a new process by dql query? If yes, have a look at Process Initiation by DQL Query.
