Adding Menu Item

Hi All,
i want to add an menu item to unlock the file through which an user can unlock the file,
which is not locked by him/her....in TeamSite6.5 ..
Can anyone help me in this regard .

check Custom Menu Items in UI customization guide. For unlocking files, you can refer CLT iwunlock for your pupose.

II'm not sure about the unlocking any file, the scope for the iwunlock is workarea

What platform?

I believe certain roles (authors, editors) can only remove locks that they themselves hold - so unless you can run the custom menu item as a more authorative user, you won't be able to get it to work too easily.

However, you might be able to have the custom menu item kick off a workflow and use an externaltask owned by 'root' (or 'DOMAIN\Administrator'?) to perform the actual iwunlock call on the selected files....
