To whom it may concern,
To put it simply, we're on an upgrade path to upgrade our content server and our DFS server offering and we currently have 3 (about to be 4) clients who are using the 6.5 SP2 productivity layer to connect. While it seems on it's face that we can connect to a 6.7 Server using 6.5 Client, we're not sure if it's as easy as just regression testing, or if we have to force our clients to upgrade with us (especially .NET).
In the DFS 6.7 Release notes, it states:
| DFS 6.7 Excerpt |

In addition to the homogeneous stacks (5.3.x Content Server + 5.3.x Global Registry + 5.3.x Client and D6.x Content Server + D6.x Global Registry + D6.x Client), the following deployment scenario will be supported in D6.7. Note that the DFS client and Global Registry versions must be homogeneous: • 5.3.x Content Server + D6.x Global Registry + D6.x DFS Client |
I take it that this is a supported stack as I have stated it above, but looking for confirmation. Thanks in advance
