Get shared group owner

Hi we have TeamSite 6.5 SP1 on Windows 2003 Server.
Is there a way to get the shared group owner of a workarea from the workflow?

Basically we have a workflow where users can attached files from several workareas. I need to sne dout emails to various groups depending on the Shared group owner of the workarea. I've looked through the documentation and nothing seems to fit the bill.
