SAN deployments
Bhargav Coca
Hello,
I am on TS 6.5 on Win2k3 with ED 6.0.2, my question is pretty simple, Can we deploy it to a SAN location?
Anyone who worked with deploying content to SAN over a firewall, please give me some suggestions.
Thank you

Technically, the OD receiver can deploy to mapped drives provided OD is running as a service with authority to access the mapped drives. However, Win2003 changed security behavior so that this no longer works. A workaround is to run the OD receiver in the foreground... run the <od-home>\test\deploy_agent.bat script from a DOS console.
Support for UNC path naming is targeted for OD 6.0.2 SP1. This will eliminate the need for using mapped drive letters and enable Win2003 deployments to network accessible directories.
Your use case may require an OpenDeploy "network receiver" license. Consult your account rep to find out if you have what you need.

I tried to run it, and it said that it can't recognize this bat file as internal or external command.
Thank you

Probably it's not in your PATH.
