error during startup of tomcat

Hi,

I have been noticing this error while starting up the tomcat for past few days. Please help me with it.

com.documentum.web.common.Trace - Preference repository is not available, reason: Preference Repository is not reachable.
com.documentum.web.env.PreferenceRepository$DisabledException: Preference Repository is not reachable.

Caused by: DfDocbrokerException:: THREAD: Thread-1; MSG: [DFC_DOCBROKER_REQUEST_

Docbrokers provide a list of repository names and their availability, ie. are they up and running

The file dfc.properties defines which docbrokers to use. Search for and correct setting "dfc.docbroker.host" for your environment. Odds are you will need to change the "dfc.globalregistry.XX" properties also

What has changed since this error started? Which environment is this ? DEV, TEST, PRE PROD, PROD? At a guess it is not DEV, but the application is still trying to access DEV.

Is it a docbroker server?

I would confirm that you can ping "tsgdevweb01" from the development app server. It may be that it cannot resolve the host name to an IP address.
