How to dynamically set the post timer of an activity

Hi Chaps,

Here is the problem. I have a number of manual activities, and I have a due date for each of these activities. What I need to do is send an email to the administrator if a task is not complete by its due date. I was wondering if there is a way that I can dynamically set the activity post timer, and then use the existing capabilities/

Hi John,

From where do you want to set the timer value?

I can propose the way to set its value from another activity in runtime (for example, on one of the earliest tasks another user set the timer for some user task):

Any activity in Process Builder is represented by an xml-file. So you can create an electronic form with the same structure as the manual activity.
After that you create process package based on that e-form.
After that you bind to this package the r_object_id of the activity for which you want to set the value.
Set the required value by Process Data Mapping to the package and you will get the dynamically value for the timer.

So I assume that I would use Forms Builder to generate the Electronic Form?

Should I expect to find the Object in the List of Existing Types on the Pull down for Step 2 of a New Template in Forms Builder. I have scanned the list but I cannot find the object I am expecting (dmi_workitem).

Yep, that’s right.

While creating form select Create as new option. While adding form to a package look for XML Instance.
