Start processes from Task form

Hi All,

We have requirement to start processess from Task form (Manual activity). User don't want the additional screen to pick and choose the next activity. Using configurable action i have placed invoke button which can launch process from task form but the challege i am facing is, Task still stays in users Inbox. If not through configurable action than any other solution for this one?

Hi,

You can list the names of the processes which the user will invoke, in the user's task form for that activity.The users can select the process name which they want to start from the list (drop down), and the on the next step you can create a "decision split" and "invoke process" auto activity to call the next processes.

In this case the first manual activity will be completed , also the user will not be taken to additional screens.

Thanks for your quick response. Actually I had tried this approach but the issue is user did not like design aspect (Dropdown) instead they want button to take care starting process.Is there any way with your provided soulution I can accomplish this by button instead of dropdown?

Hi,

You can also create an 'Document Processor - Post-submission' adaptor.
From here you can call 'StartWorkflowPostProcessor' and starts a workflow with the form instance as the initial package.
Take a look in the Forms Builder user manual 'Build-in adaptors'.

Hi Prabhav,

You can create a configurable action within your TaskSpace application that starts a specified process. Tie that action to an invoke button on the form and the user can start the process from a button click.

Refer to the TaskSpace Configuration Guide for details on how to create actions.

Hi,

But on my task form user will have option to start 3 different processes. Using post processor adapter i can only start one process. Correct me if i am wrong?
