Delete Tablespace in SQL while migration or repository copy

Hello All,

While refering to steps given by EMC for repository copy or migration to , on Target server delete the Tables and views, refer following location from content server.

E:\Documentum\dba\config\<<Repository_Name>>

dm_DeleteTableSpace.sql

1. For ORACLE,

It contains delete the  table space of Index and docbase for specific repository including content.

2. For SQL

It contains, directly to drop the Database for specific repository.

I am new to SQL and Want to clarify that , is this same file need to be reffered while working on SQL, like SQL do not have concept of Tablespace like ORACLE, so delete the whole database for SQL ?

Hi,

For oracle the installation procedure of documentum crates two new tablespaces dm_docbasename_docbase , dm_docbasename_index and one new user in the database.Then it stores everything in that tablespaces.So as long as I know there is no tablespace concept in sql server and it creates a new database and storse everything in there.So when you try to uninstall the delete script deletes the tablespaces for oracle and the database for sql server.
