Problem with Alias Set

Hi All,

In my application I could see many alias set had been created earlier and but when I am looking into it I could not find out what is the purpose of using the alias set. Could anybody tell me, how to determine the scope of the alias set, i mean is it being used by the Workflow or Lifecycle or anywhere else. Is there any way to know that?

What aliases are in the alias set?  Most of the time, aliases are used in conjunction with permission set templates (aka template acls).  You can tell if an object is referencing PST, since the ACL will have PST object ID plus portion of object ID of alias set.
