Taskspace view attached documents

Hello,

In my application over Taskspace 6.6, there are tasks that have attached documents, how can i do to view this attached documents(p.e. *.doc MS Word 2003?

In the configuration tab I add msw8 -> browser.

And when I clicked to the attached document to open it, a new tab is added to "open item" but its a blank screen.

It's possible to view Word documents with Taskspace?

Hi,

Yes it is possible.You can use browser and you have to configure your browser to open the file in the browser (IE options) but I have tried this many times but did not succeed. Either I got an error or the page come blank.But you can use Brava for it.It supports almost any format.

Hi Konstantin,

Can you suggest somthing similar for windows 7 too? I had seen this topic before but in windows 7 there is no "File Types" tab.And I could not find something for windows 7.

You may install the attached registry file to enable the MS Office Viewer. However, it need to be installed for each client machine.

BTW the files I got it from Contact Management xCelerator

Doesn't work with the file or the configuration of the browser...

When I tried to open, taskspace open a new tab in "open item" and the tab is blank.

Any other suggetion?

What browser are you using?

Did you try to make suggested configurations on the one work place (computer) or on a few?

What happening if you try to open doc file from My folder tab?

When I tried to open the doc file from "my folder" tab works.

But doesn't work from attached documents from tasks. Can be a permissions problem?

If the process doesn't change the document's acl, this is can't be a permission problem.

When you click on the document and the new tab created, did the Open File dialog window is opening? Please, check running processes of the client OS (in Task Manager, if you are working under Windows). Also, please check UCF log, is there any errors?

In the forms builder the attachment control needs that the object type is a dm_document.
