Installing dar files

Hi,

I have a dar file that is supposed to be installed to the repository named '"abc". But, in the target environment, there is no repository created with that name. (And I dont have the permission to create one). Is it ok if I install this dar file in a repository with a different name? My question is - will the objects inside the dar have a dependency on the repository name or is it ok if I install in any repository?

I don't think the objects inside a DAR have a dependency on the repository name. Our dev, testing and production evironments has different repository names, and we make DAR from the dev environment and install it in testing and Production environments, and it has been always fine.

Hi,

Dar files never have a dependency on the repository name! They are documentum archives which are designated use for archiving some repository objects , documentum artifacts etc which can be installed any target repository.
