Form mapping rules for doc view forms in Task Form

HI ,

Am using Form Builder 6.6.

I have multiple doc view forms embeded in a Single task Form .

My requirement is to show Docview form in the task form based on the 'Department ID' process variable . Since I have 12 Departments i created 12 Doc view Forms and Single TaskForm .

In the Task form I need to set the rule for Each Doc View to be Shown (or) Hidden based on the process variable .

Here comes the problem .

All the Docview forms should have Data Binding to Package ID . But If all the Doc view form data binding is to same Package ID the rules are Over lapping .

Can any One pls help me .

My solution is not very elegant but it is quite simple:

1. Create as many string variables as you need Docviews on the form. They can be simple process variables or SDT's attributes.
2. Before Manual activity (with Docviews) place Decision Split activity and few Data Mapping or DQL or any else activities (as many as you need Docviews on the form).
3. Depending the Department the process will go thought one of that Data Mapping or DQL or any else activities. Each of them will bind the r_object_id of the required object to one of string variables created on the first step.
4. If the object is only one or all of them are have the same type you could bind it's r_object_id to all of string variables at once in one activity.
5. On the form place as many Embedded forms as you need. Each of them bind to each of the string variables from the first step. Set the rules for each Embedded view to hide and show it depending of the value of the some variable.

That's it.
