Is there a way to tell OpenDeploy not to create new folders if the folder already exists on the source (to prevent overwriting of existing files)?

For example if I already have an includes directory on the source, but it has not been imported into Teamsite, and the user tries to create an includes directory and deploy it, I want OpenDeploy to fail.

You can use the Filters and modify the deployment configuration files to include and exclude files and directories from the deployment.

Thanks for your reply Artor.

Is there a way to make this generic though so that no existing directories are overwritten with "new directories" from the source?
That way I don't have to create a filter each time i create a new directory on the target that's not in sync with the source.
