DFS to download document to user selected location.

Hi,

We are using DFS to download and upload documents from custom application and are using UCF to tranfer content.

We have a requirement where user should select the target folder to save the document.

DFS-UCF always saves the document in viewed folder in user machine.

Is there any DFS API available or any other way by which DFS or UCF can save the document to user specified location.

If we set value in ucf-config.xml, it won't work because user have to set the location every time he wants to download.

Have anyone encountered such requirement and any solution for the same.

UCF does not have this capability. You have to write your own solution to move the files to the selected location after the download (an applet can do it, if you are using thin client).

DFS 6.7 has added this support. Please check ContentTransferProfile.
