Hi, We are using web publisher 5.3 sp6 solaris. We have 16 sites confugured. We want to archieve data in such a way that what content was present on a particular day on a website can be deterined. Can someone help in this?
If I remember correctly, there used to be a "snapshot" feature in Webpublisher that would do this. Look in the web publisher admin manual to see if its still there in 5.3.
Hi Johnny,
The name of the feature is creating and edition. But that will create the website with the latest content not the old ones.I would like to archieve data in such a way that by studying the metadata of the archieved content once can know when that particular content was published.I am actually looking for such a kind of attribute which actually says on which day the object was published.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Look at the a_effective_date for each version.
Hi Johnny, Many of the documnts published do not have a_effective_date and a_expiration date attributes set.The documnts were directly published without setting these values. Just one more infor, they publish using SCS.Are there any tables for SCS by which it can be determined which object was published when? Thanks a lot for your response....
AFAIK, there is no "published date". SCS does NOT write back to Content Server when it publishes file to web server. The only other thing I can suggest is to archive the website itself on the web server.
