TaskSpace Import Multiple Documents Attribute Assignment

In WebTop when I import multiple documents and I assign the document object attributes for the first object and click “finish” the same attribute values are assigned to all imported document object.

In TaskSpace import process I don’t get the same behavior. I only get the assigned attribute values for the first document object. For the remaining document object the attributes are blank.

How can I replicate the WebTop import behavior in TaskSpace? Our clients need to load 50 documents each time they use the import function and they don’t want to enter the same attribute 50 times.

Are you using Webtop Import Action (under More Actions button) or Taskspace Import Action (which requires eForm to be associated with object type)? I just tried using Taskspace Import and it works with multiple docs. I am also using 6.7, so I'm not sure if this is a bug with 6.6.

With Webtop (WDK) Import it worked okay. But with TaskSpace Import it does not. I was really hoping to use TaskSpace Import since it is a more refined process/look. Also with WebTop Import I can’t predefine the document type I want the client to use.

Again, I am able to import multiple documents via TaskSpace Import but I can’t enter the metadata (attributes) one time (for the first document) and have it replicated to all selected documents like I can do with Webtop Import.

Sounds like a bug to me. It works fine for me using 6.7 Taskspace Import. You might want to check the various patches that were released for Taskspace 6.6. Patch13 is currently available.

One final question: When you tested Taskspace Import the attributes replication was the default behaviour. In other words, you didn’t have to do any special configuration/setup in Forms Builder or TaskSpace Admin. Is that correct?

Yes, all we did was create eForm for the type that we want to import.
