[HTML]Hi,
I am trying to trrp cotainer add event i.e. when When I add a replicant container event should be trap. here in example I should get the alert box.

Links

Link Table Heading

Column Heading

function init()
{
alert("BEGIN");
IWEventRegistry.addItemHandler("/Links/LinkTableHeading", "onItemChange", alertItemName);
alertItemName(IWDatacapture.getItem("/Links/LinkTableHeading"));
}
function alertItemName(itemObject)
{
alert("****");
//test = itemObject.getName();
//alert(test);
}
IWEventRegistry.addFormHandler("onFormInit", init);

Please suggest what is missing ?

onItemChange events are fired off *after* the change is "recorded" by having the focus move to another field (either by tab-ing or clicking in another field.

If you're expecting it to fire while your changing the contents of the field - you will be sadly disappointed.

Actually I am trying to trap event when I click on "+" button of the container to add another instance of it.

Hi Ghoti,

Actually I am trying to trap event when I click on "+" button of the container to add another instance of it.

Then you want an onReplicantAdd event handler not an onItemChange event handler - please read the FormAPI manual.
(note: I'm assuming you're using TS 6.5 - if you're using an earlier version your pretty much out of luck - the replicant event handlers were added in 6.5)

Please suggest? I suggest you upgrade - that's about it.
If you search the forums - you *might* be able to find a hacked way to do this in pre-6.5 versions - but I can't guarantee it (I *think* I remember seeing something like that - but it could be something else I'm remembering)
