dcr-renamable still can be renamed?

I was looking at the dcr-renamable feature which can be used with dcr auto naming.
It sounds great for versioning as no one can mess with the file location.

The dev guide mentions that this attribute will prevent a user from renaming a dcr in the form settings screen.

But what about outside of the form screen.
Well I tested that out and there is no restriction for an author/editor to rename a dcr from the teamsite interface. I'd like to hear how such a use case should work.

The one thing about templating is that it has never been fully integrated with the rest of the system.

Annoyances, such as locked dcr/generated files, I believe were finally addressed along with submitting both a generated file with it's DCR.
I still see no option to be able to delete a corresponding DCR with a generated file.
No CS API even though templating has been around since v4.

So now... what about the dcr-renamable feature - how useable is it? Is anybody actually using it?.. If so - how are you using it?
