DNR one target only?

Is it possible (without checking the host name on the script ececuted to have OD only execute the target side DNR on one of the targets and not on all of them?

I have a script I need to kick off on one of the servers, but not on the others.

Do not believe that is possible on a dnrDeployment other than by a custom implementation. But, if it is possible to run the script on the source a dnrDeploymentJob would do what you are looking for.

This is not exactly what you're asking for (which I don't think can be done), but this gets around it. In your script, put some logic there to validate the hostname of each machine running the script and if that condition is met, complete the script.

Use a multi-def deployment. Run two definitions, with only one kicking off your DNR.
