iwpublish is the command line to use.Thxs,Mohammed Gazal.
Definitely iwpublish is the only command to create editions but just updating that it does not create editions regularly.For getting the last edition name you can use : iwlasted and to generate the next edition name through CLT would be iwnexted.So ... you can use the CLTs as per your convenience.
We need to create Editions in regular intervals may be weekly.so we want to put it in a cronjob.My question is is there any CLT for creating Editions regularly.Does anyone have done anything like this----asking your help.
if i would like to do the same issue in Windows box, so I have to the "schedule task" ?can I use opendeploy schedule insteads on schedule task?
#!/path/to/iwperl# this script publishes an edition with a default name and datestamp.#use strict;use warnings;use TeamSite::Config;my $iwhome = TeamSite::Config::iwgethome();my @tm = localtime();$tm[4] += 1;$tm[5] += 1900;my $date = sprintf("%4d%02d%02d_%02d%02d", reverse(@tm[1-5]));my @results = qx($iwhome/bin/iwpublish /default/... STAGING ed_$date "daily edition");if ($?){ # error occurred? Check @results}
Hi All,Will it be possible to create editions to get only the modified or latest files?regards.
oops sorry about...I understand how it is working...just dreaming should work the other way.thanks for your reply.
You need not do that if this concerned with Deployments. Just do a TeamSite comparison between EDITION and IW_PREV. Else please explain your purpose for an EDITION with only the changed files\ Directories
