Full text search and privileges-permissions

Hi Experts,

I have deployed full text indexing search and I have a document where dm_world has read permission and dm_owner has delete permission.The document is owned by a super user.When I search the document with a super user it can be found.But when I search it with a contributed it can't be found.Is there anything related to privileges? As long as I know if the user has read permission it should be found? Am I wrong? Please help me to find out the problem.

What indexing server are you using?

I have the same experience as yours when I use xPlore.

Found out that, it is require to run a script to sync the permission to xPlore. The script located at <xPlore install directory>/setup/indexagent/tools/aclreplication_for_<your repository>.bat

open it in text editor, change the login name and password, then run the script.

Is it a Sysobject? Is the attribute "a_is_hidden" set to true? Was the permission changed recently? Does "dm_world" has permission on the latest version?

I am using advanced search in DA and also I have installed advanced search xcelerator for task space.Both give the seam results.I don't know why?

They are dm_document and I can see that they are beeing indexed.I have tested for several documents.After this if I search as the document owner it can be found, if I search as superuser it can be found again.

But if I import a document with a superuser which has dm_world read owner delete it can't be found by the nonsuperuser users.However the super user can find it.

Thery are not marked as hidden and permissions are not changed.

Does "dm_world" has permission on the latest version? No dm_world has read permission.Do they require version permit for this issue?

On the other hand some users have version permit on the documents that are owned by superusers.They can't be found too.

Hi Imran,

Users are not required to have "version" permit to find the document, in fact I was talking about document's version, if the user has permission on the CURRENT version, but as I undestand, you have only one version because you've just imported the document.

Does the non-superuser can see the document when browsing the folder where the document was imported?

Yes, they are all in a public cabinet where everyone can access it.

Yes, if a non superuser imports some documents they cna be found after they are indexed.
