[DM_FOLDER_E_PATH_EXISTS]error: "Cannot save (or link)

Hi All,

When I am trying to run the below DQL from DA 6.5, I am getting the following error.

DQL:

update dm_folder objects link '/.IT Services/INDIA' where object_name IN (select object_name from

dm_folder where folder('/INDIA - IFS') and object_name='Collaboration');

ERROR:

Tue Oct 11 07:18:06 2011 818351 [DM_FOLDER_E_PATH_EXISTS]error: "Cannot save (or link) 'Collaboration'

folder with path name '/.IT Services/INDIA/Collaboration' because one already exists."
Tue Oct 11 07:18:06 2011 818635 [DM_QUERY_F_UP_SAVE]fatal: "UPDATE: An error has occurred during a save

operation."

Kindly help me on this.

Error is pretty self-explanatory. There is already Collaboration folder under "/.IT Services/INDIA" and one under "/INDIA - IFS". Therefore the move fails b/c one already exists.

But When I am going inside the path "/.IT Services/INDIA" and search for the folder Collaboration, then I am not able to find any folder Collaboration.

due to error I am not able to link the Collaboration folder inside "/.IT Services/INDIA"

Check if there is any hidden folder or private folder in that location . You can use DQL for this

What are the results of this query:

select * from dm_folder where folder('/.IT Services/INDIA') and object_name='Collaboration'

If this returns something, then the folder exists already.

I have already selected hidden objects from the Preference.

I run the below DQL and find o objects.

select * from dm_folder where folder('/.IT Services/INDIA') and object_name='Collaboration'

Result:
