Unable to get the Bam Synchronization Service

Dear All,

When i try to update monitored business data in TaskSpace (TaskSpace > Administration > Server Management > Business Activity Monitor > Update BAM

Data Definitions) i get the following error message:

Can anyone explain the cause of this issue?

I suppose that TaskSpace is not able to reach BAM. Either because the URL specified is wrong or because BAM is down (or failed to startup). Check that BAM is up and running and check that the BAM URL in TaskSpace is correct.

we need to do synchronization settings

Have you updated BAM server host name and port number entries in taskspace?

updated bam server host name and port no in the taskspace

when iam clicking on the server management---> bam---> update bam data definations

iam getting this error

studied that bam db and CS db should be synchronized to avoid this error

Hi,

Do the following for content server host,content server database host and bam database host.

Log ,

click on the server clock-> "change date and time"->"Internet time"->"Change settings"->

Select "time.windows.com" -> update.

After sucessfull update of the time, restart databases.That should solve the problem.

This is for windows based deployments, see the OS administrator for updating time settings for other environments.

Hi,

Please do the following:

1.
Run this DQL query and make sure that the returned host and port are correct -
select host_name,host_port from bam_connect_props.

2.
Then create the following URL - http://<your-host>:<your-port>/bam-server
and enter it in browser on Task Space machine (just replace host and port parameters).

You should see BAM welcome page.

3.
If you don't see BAM welcome page in #2 - check if BAM is up and running and enter the same
URL on BAM machine.

Let me know about your findings.

P.S.

By the way, BAM will synchronize data definitions on each restart.

My issue has been resolved after adjusting the JDBC-Config file.

Sorry I misunderstood this error.Today the same error has occurred in our system and it was due to invalid database password.
