Initiate Process form - Title in TaskSpace

Hi all,

is it possible to have TaskSpace(6.5 SP2) display a process title/description on an initiate process form as opposed to the process name?

Currently my IP form opens with the tab titled as follows:

Id like to be able to have the Description displayed instead.

Yes, this can be done. You need to customize it.

To customize it:

You can write your own class which extends FallbackAttributeLabelRule

public class MyCustomAttributeLabelRule extends FallbackAttributeLabelRule

{

   public String format (String itemId) throws LabelFormatException

   {

      if(!DfId.isObjectId(itemId))

         return itemId;

      //lookup the object based on the object id

      IDfPersistentObject persObj = getObject(itemId);

      String typeObj = Get object type of persObj

      String label = null;

      if (typeObj is of type process)

      {

         label = get description/title/any other attribute of object persObj;

      }

      else

      {

          label = super.format(itemId);

      }

      return label;

   }

}

Put this rule in /System/Applications/<YourAppName>/GeneralConfig/Label/dmc_ts_label_config.xml [Edit and check-in with the same version]

Add a new format-item:

<format-item>

          <id>ATT_CUSTOM_RULE</id>

          <desc>My Custom rule</desc>

          <allowable-child-items/>

          <class>com.documentum.imaging.processmanager.configuration.data.label.MyCustomAttributeLabelRule</class>

</format-item>

Map this to Dafult

<label-format>

          <id>Default</id>

          <desc>Displays the object name attribute</desc>

          <nls/>

          <format-item rules="">

                    <id>ATT_CUSTOM_RULE</id>

                    <key>object_name</key>

          <child-formats/>

          </format-item>
