Hi all,

Finally I have been able to solve the problem and find the cause of the problem.

Cause :

This error occurs if there are some sdt and custom types (workflow packages ) with the same name and both marked as reportable.

After taking the following steps the error has gone.

First, I renamed the sdt's.ThenI dropped entire bam database and uninstalled it and then reinstalled it.After this the error has gone.
This problem is stated in BAM 6.6 release notes too, "SDTs and packages cannot have the same name (BAM-1505)", page 68.

I am using BAM 6.6 and no patches are installed.

Do you think that is I install the patch this error will be solved?

I searched this error in the patch (version 13) fixed errors list but could not find it.

Hi Imran,

We have made a lot of fixes during Patches P1 - P13.

Each patch ReadMe includes only description of issues

that were fixed in this specific Patch.

So the consolidated list of all fixes that were made through P1 - P13

is MUCH longer than mentioned just in P13.

So my suggestion:

Apply latest Patch - this may potentially fix your problem and save you from many problems in future.

Let me know if the problem was resolved.

Hi,

Thank you very much for the suggestions.I have applied BAM P-13.On the server side everything was ok according to the deployment guide so I did not apply any db scripts.I replaced bam-server.war and prs with P13 but still having the same problem.Do I have to apply any previous patches?The guide tells it "includes fixes from all earlier patches.".

But I have not applied,

♦ Documentum Foundation Classes 6.6 Patch 13

♦ Process Builder 6.6 Patch 13 (consolidated package)

♦ BAM Dashboard is packaged with TaskSpace 6.6 Patch 13

I will apply them right now and see if that solves the problem.

Here is the reply.

The issue is caused by the fact that BAM server tries to format SDT (or Package) values into it's database, but the definition of this SDT does not exists.

In later BAM versions, we introduced auto-synchronization that solves it.

Meanwhile, a WA should be:

1. Stop BAM Server

2. Start BAM Server

If this SDT/Package is visible to BAM, it will synchronize it and the issue will go away.

If this SDT/Package is NOT visible to BAM,i.e you are using Package inheritance, then you should:

1. Stop BAM server

2. Assign an exact Package to any process in BPM and mark it reportable

3. Restart BAM server.

This way, you are making your Package visible to BAM, and the issue will go away
