xCP start process automatically

Hi friends,

I'm new in xCP developing. I'm testing this product and i need your help with one thing.

How can i start automatically a process without going to a process tab, select one process and search for the document i wanna process be applied for?.

I want, when I import one document, a specific process be launched automatically. Is it possible or do i need to do it manually?

In my organization 4000 documents are imported per hour and if i follow xCP tutorial then a user needs, first, import the document, then manually search for the process and then search for the document he has just imported... it is inadmisible in time.

Hi,

You can use TBO for this .

In TBO you can trigger a process by attaching the object as the package in your doSave method.

Make sure you do it on isNew() - true condition.

Hi Muthu and other folks,

Yes, i know it is possible to start a process automatically from TBO, i just do it in our NO xCP environment. But i have read that xCP is a solution 100% customizable and in wich programming skills were secundary... so i thought it should be some configuration able to start process automatically.

Anybody knows if it possible, or as Muthu says, programming is the unique suitable solution?

Hi,

Then we can use DQL Trigger activity in your process template.

This will query the new documents (by our DQL query) and then will automatically start the workflow.

I hope this will be in your XCP environment.
