Can't understand one thing about Documentum Electronic Signature

Hi all,

I have to implement electronic signature in documentum.So now I reading discussions,users guides and blog posts about documentum and electronic signature.I know that Documentum provides electronic signature functionality with TCS, but there is one thing that I can not understand, as long as I know we have to have a public/private key pairs for signature procedure and for signing we have to use private key and for verification of the signature we have to use public key.But all we need for signing with Documenum electronic signature (provided by TCS) is just user name and password.Now i can not understand how it works, then how the signature is validated?

And one more question, how have you implemented electronic signature in your environment? Which tools do you use?

Please guide me through.

I havent implemented esignature before, but AFAIK, TCS only provides you the plumbing to esignatures.  You still have to create app to take advantage of the plumbing.  DCM (Doc Control Manager) is the only app I am aware of that takes advantage of this feature.
