extracting META tags

I have the following tags in an html document

<META NAME="Author" content="Joe Author">
<META NAME="Title" content="Test Title from with in html meta field">

I have set up metatagger with "Author" and "Title" Field Entries added to the html content processor. I've also configured the html pre-processor group to include the CLT
iwmtfilternativemd -native Title -native Author.

This is the only steps that are detailed in the manual. Author and Title are working fine for word docs. Have I missed a step in configuring html docs? Has anyone configured this before.
