Simple Search

Hi,

I want to exclude a particular custom object type from the basic search. Like type A, Type B and Type C arr parrallel anf inharited from dm_document . Now i want only search will execute only for typa A and Type B,

Can anyont suggest me.

Hi Badal,

Extend the search component,(search60_component.xml) and in the default type provide dm_document if you want to search only documents else ignore this point,

<!-- default object type for the search -->

<type>dm_document</type>

Provide your custom class as below,

<class>com.company.CustomSearch60</class>

In the initSearch() method add a where clause like below,

IDfExpressionSet setAnd = rootSet.addExpressionSet(IDfExpressionSet.LOGICAL_OP_AND);
setAnd.addValueListAttrExpression("r_object_type", IDfValue.DF_STRING, IDfSimpleAttrExpression.SEARCH_OP_EQUAL, true , false , typeValueList);
